instantaneous response
in your e-mail inbox, an

was responsible for
delivering the reply. Or

send a series of
messages to received
e-mail addresses on a
predetermined, timed
basis. For instance, a
multiple autoresponder
can be used to send an
instant response, then a
follow-up message one
day later, then another
three days after that,
and so on. It can also
be programmed to send a
message a day, one per
week, twice monthly, or
any interval that meets
the purpose of the
campaign. The series of
messages can be an
e-course as well. That
is, you received one
lesson one at a time.
There again, you might
be praising the
efficiency of the
company of having such
an efficient and
effective follow-up
system. In actual fact,
the machine is
responsible for the
follow-up action. Well,
never mind, you still
received your regular
mail as promised.
